Lighting Designer Ken Daniel joins Visual Terrain, Inc.
   Visual Terrain is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Daniel, LC as Principal Lighting Designer.

“Having known Ken professionally for over 15 years, we are thrilled to have him join the Visual Terrain team.” stated, Lisa Passamonte Green, Vice President of Visual Terrain. “His expertise as a lighting designer and a custom luminaire designer for both domestic and international projects is unparalleled and makes Ken a valuable addition to the VTI team. His project experience includes everything from high-end residential to casinos, academic institutions to theme parks and places of worship to retail developments.” She added.

   Past projects include University of Notre Dame, notably the Eck Center, one of the largest college bookstores in the country (IES award), the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls and the First Republic Bank at Time Warner Center in New York City.

Ken graduated from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and Rome and studied for his MFA in Lighting Design at Parsons School of Design in New York City. He began his career as a museum exhibitions designer and art consultant. In 1990, he established himself as a senior level designer with Walt Disney Imagineering where he supervised the design, fabrication and installation of hundreds of custom lighting fixtures in parks from Orlando, Tokyo to Paris.

As Principal Designer for Visual Terrain, Ken will lead design efforts at a newly established Visual Terrain office in Connecticut. “Ken’s location in Connecticut provides our clients additional design services with the convenience of an east coast Visual Terrain office,” commented, Dawn Hollingsworth, Managing Design Principal.

   Ken is currently the lead designer on the sitewide lighting design project for the Dubai Festival City project in Dubai, which includes a number of custom roadway luminaires, as well as designing the custom decorative luminaires and site lighting for the Americana @ Brand project in Glendale, California. Additionally Ken is leading the lighting design efforts for the Law School at University of Notre Dame while completing several high-end residential projects.
