| The New Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, CA Celebrates Grand Opening in December 2004.  Visual Terrain, Inc. is proud to announce the completion of lighting design for the New Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, California. Inspired by its location among the picturesque mountain ranges, wind and water-carved canyons and desert sunshine, the new casino is an architectural and illumination tribute to the California desert. Visual Terrain designers worked with The Jerde Partnership to create a dynamic synergy of light and architecture. Influenced by the surrounding environment, the architecture and illumination create a nighttime oasis. Automated color-changing lighting with image projections can be viewed from 5 miles away and will telegraph arriving guests they are about to experience the ultimate in fun, relaxation and entertainment.  The Casino’s interiors were accented by dramatic architectural ceiling design. "The floor of the casino was actually driven by the ceiling design. Our goal was to integrate the practical requirements of lighting with design aesthetic to create a stunning visual impact", commented Project Manager and designer, Eileen Thomas. The resort, just outside of Palm Springs has 310 rooms, restaurants, casino and a swimming pool with private cabanas and spa.
