Principal Designer, Director of New Ventures
In his 23 years experience as a designer, Ken has worked on a wide range of projects from museums, art collections, and theme parks to restaurants, retail facilities as well as themed site and infrastructure projects. Steven Young
Director of Design
Steven currently serves as Director of Design. He has created designs including the Buffalo Creek Resort and Casino in Buffalo, NY; themed attractions in Las Vegas; King Kong 360 3D at Universal Studios Hollywood; Rivera restaurant in Los Angeles; Ecolav dry cleaner in Miami, FL; Choctaw Resort Facades in Durant, OK; and the Mystic Lake Casino interior renovation in Mystic Lake, MN; and Beyond All Boundaries at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, LA. »read more

Production Designer
Rose joined Visual Terrain’s team in July of 2008, bringing along her knowledge from interiors to assist in lighting. Some of those skills include rendering techniques, Auto CAD drawing, and presentation design. Rose’s contributions to the Visual Terrain talent pool include maintaining the extensive vendor library, design presentations and graphics, Photoshop, project documentation, AutoCAD, and lighting renderings. »read more
Kate Furst
Lighting Designer
Kate joins Visual Terrain with ten years as a Lighting Design professional, designing architectural solutions, drama, musical theater, dance, and opera. She has designed for a variety of spaces, ranging from theaters to night clubs and bars, programming a variety of lighting consoles using both static and robotic instrumentation, and working with untrained and union crews. »read more
Ryan Bona
Lighting Designer
Ryan joins Visual Terrain from Cal Arts, where he earned a master’s degree in Theatrical Lighting Design. He has designed the lighting for shows including The Missile Man of Peenemunde at studio/stage in Los Angeles, and A Splendid Death, Simple Magic, and Wounded at the California Institute of the Arts. He served as assistant lighting designer for productions such as Twist: An American Musical at the Pasadena Playhouse and Gruesome Playground Injuries at New York’s Second Stage. »read more

Community Liaison
Heidi joined Visual Terrain in 2002, bringing with her a broad swath of experience as an architectural model builder, interior designer, and senior production designer. Heidi has worked with Walt Disney Imagineering, Sony Development and Hidezine Color Consultants, and has been an instructor for the UCLA Extension Interior Design Program, teaching courses in Surface Materials and Themed Interior Design. »read more
