Barnas Brannstasjon Recipient of a 2011 Thea Award

Visual Terrain congratulates the owners of Barnas Brannstasjon on receiving a 2011 Outstanding Achievement (Attraction on a Limited Budget) Thea Award by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA).

Barnas Brannstasjon is a new interactive edutainment attraction that combines role-playing, fire safety and team work at Kongeparken theme park near Stavanger, Norway.

Designed for children, the attraction begins with a fire safety presentation then centers around a simulated emergency call.

As the alarm sounds, the children slide down a fire pole, don fire jackets and hop on board a fire truck.  At the scene of a simulated blaze, they work as a team pumping water to put out the blaze.

Visual Terrain was responsible for the special effects lighting design of the attraction.

Special Effects Producer for the project was George Wiktor The GW Group.
