Austin joins Visual Terrain as a lighting designer working from San Antonio, Texas. He previously worked with Luce Group, a subsidiary of Quantum Creative Studios. Austin earned an MFA in Theater Design from Texas State University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Jacksonville University.

Since joining the team in 2022, Austin has assisted principal and senior designers on over 50 projects in all phases of design.

Austin has manned the Visual Terrain booth at IAAPA twice in recent years.

In his spare time, Austin fosters dachshunds with his partner, enjoys biking, is an avid Master Naturalist, and helps lead an advocacy group focused on safer transportation and affordable housing for all.
