You all are on the BALL!

I wanted to say thank you again for being adaptable and flexible with the new meeting link! A reminder for next week, we will be back to our regularly scheduled Zoom link.

This week’s session was a very brief overview of the different types of rendering styles and what each option takes. We gave you a challenge to come up with your own rendering for the Observation pod. Attached to this email, you will find the PDF drawings and a PDF with resources for many of the rendering styles discussed in the session.

For the rendering challenge, you’ll have until Sunday, July 18 @ 6PM PDT to submit any style of rendering. We will be sending a 3D model soon, but don’t feel like you have to do a 3D rendering!

Dear Cool Campers,

We are so happy that you were able to join us today! We really enjoyed getting to hear the introductions from Team Green and we are looking forward to hearing the intros from Team Purple in Session 2!

Team Purple & Team Green finished today’s session with Team Purple ahead by 1 point. The tally stands at 10-9! Next week, in addition to asking questions, make sure you use your final shot as your virtual background to help your team earn points.

Don’t forget to email your selected shot, and a short description about the image to David @ davidg@visualterrain.net. Also, don’t forget to save your homework shot to use as your background for next week’s session!

In next Tuesday’s session, Rose & Lisa will discuss different methods and techniques for communicating design and getting clients engaged with the creative ideas at hand!

If you have any questions that pop up during the week, please email them to summercamp@visualterrain.net. We will make sure that we answer that question for you as quickly as we can!

We would LOVE feedback on how you felt the workshop went. If you really liked something, or thought anything needed improvement, please send us a note at summercamp@visualterrain.net.

Also, one last thing – we would like to be able to share your email addresses with the group so that you can connect and we can have open dialogue and communication throughout the session (and allow all of you to stay in contact with each other once the summer camp is over). Please send me an email back letting us know whether or not you are comfortable with your email address being shared with the group before next Tuesday.

Kind regards,

Christina
